It´s The End of the World as We Know It...
Feliz Año Nuevo En El Fin Del Mundo
I am now traveling with Meaghan and Tim (without their motorcycle). Last night we rang in an unusual New Year on the Beagle Canal in Ushuaia, Argetina - or the southernmost city in the world. On a side note, they claim it to be the southernmost, but Puerto Williams in Chile is technically the winner. But Ushuaia is much larger.
The fireworks consisted of about 20 or so flares being fired from ships. The owner of the hostel said that the last mayor/governor/leader in the area robbed them of a lot of money so things like fireworks can´t take place. His reply to whether there would be fireworks was roughly, "Um...you realize we´re in Ushuaia?"
So we simply toasted with the group of Israelis, Italians, and Germans from our hostel who joined us down by the water.
Us at the top of what was an exhausting hike in PN Tierra Del Fuego. Tim and I sporting the Happy Cups, which although purchased on a whim proved to be very useful.
We arrived in Ushuaia after several days of haphazard hitching from Punta Arenas, where we flew in several days ago. I think we´ll head to Parque Nacional Tierra Del Fuego for a day or two before heading north toward Torres Del Paine, Los Glaciers, Fitz Roy, and more of the Chilean and Argetine Patagonia sites.
Tim and Mea where we camped along the Staight of Magellan. Tim watering the Straight, and my festive feet.

Hey Kitty Kat!
I thought I'd pop in to see how you're doing. Still going strong in Chile? I hope you're having fun, if not you can always visit the Casino! Hehe.. (I hate that gambling is illegal in Norway...) Or, you could visit the little place in the end of Pio Nono..that's always a lot of fun!! :)
Hope to hear from you soon!
Take care and say hello to everyone from me.
Besitos
G-Money
Ps: Feliz Cumpleaños y Feliz Año nuevo!
